"The power of one"

Children in Classroom

One person, one donation can make a difference for a student in Haiti with very few opportunities for a quality education. No donation amount is too small. Education is a passport to educational opportunities that can positively one student, change one family, one community when we take the opportunity to be, "THE POWER OF ONE!"

We have partnered with the Ecole Chretienne La Providence de Au-Pac a small school inAu-Pac, Haiti on the island of La Gonave. Tuition is $55.00 per student this school year. Please consider sponsoring one or more students with a donation.

James

James g. Lewis, Jr.

The Haiti Early Learning Project was inspired by my late husband James and our love for children and education. James was a constant presence on our children's school campuses as a volunteer in the classroom and a sports announcer for various high school football programs. James was an integral part of Sacramento Valley Christian Academy children were naturally drawn to James and his kind heart. The James G. Lewis, Jr. Education Scholarship benefits students in Haiti and our belief that all children deserve a quality education.

Vanessa

Vanessa a. herrera

Vanessa was a very dear family friend as well as a former childcare student and later a preschool teacher with our family owned preschool and childcare program; Sacramento Valley Christian Academy. This scholarship is awarded locally each June to an early childhood education college students attending a Los Rios community college who has overcome adversity in their lives to teach and enrich the lives of early learners.  It is an honor to remember Vanessa with this scholarship.
